Pumpkin Boards

Today I was cleaning the back porch and deck-- everything was so dirty. DH is not a clean-up kinda of guy, but he is a great cook---so I do the cleaning. I wanted to do some fall decorating after the cleaning business was finished. Somewhere on the net I found an article about painting pumpkin boards---which I wanted to try. I do not remember where the article is located so credit goes to cyber space. The only supplies needed are: Pieces of wood in any shape, Sanding paper,Craft paint in orange, black, and white,Paintbrush, Ribbon, Raffia, Nail.

Sand the ends of the board and wipe clean. Apply orange paint, let dry and apply again, let the second layer dry. Paint the face on the board. Nail the nail in top of the board and tie ribbons to the nail. Now you have a pumpkin board that is great to use outside.

Such a cute and ez idea. Even I could paint those, and I have NO talent when it comes to painting; I hardly know which end of the brush to hold!

Hi Sue...thanks for the nice compliments you left on my blog...what a darling idea to paint pumpkin boards...they'll last forever! While I was over here and went down to see Baby Tyler...oh, won't you have some hugs & kisses to shower him with!
