Blue Monday, In the Garden

Blue Monday is hosted by Sally at smilingsally's blog just click on the title and away you go. HAPPY BLUE MONDAY!!!!!!!!!

Today it was a warm day that left me wishing that I could get out into the garden and dig in the dirt, get my hands dirty and smell the fresh soil. Since any time spent in the garden is therapy for me I decided to walk around my garden and sneak a few minutes of garden pleasure. I noticed some of the early plants (bulbs) beginning to break the soil, that is a good thing, but the clean-up I need to do is so over powering. The fish pond is so murky, the outdoor furniture needs a coat of paint, the compost is ready to be distributed and the list goes on and on. Every year I start with the feeling of, can I do this?, but once I start, I love every minute of my time in garden. This year I plan to expand my vegetable growing area, with the economic problems we have in this country any thing you can do to cut cost is worth the effort.

"Gardening is the art that uses flowers and plants as paint, and the soil and sky as canvas." Elizabeth Murray

Those certainly are lovely! It's hard to believe that something that beautiful exits. God just amazes me with the natural beauty of His world. Thank you for sharing these. :-)

Happy Blue Monday...

Hello and Happy Blue Monday. This is my first week to participate and it's been fun. Your blue flowers are so pretty! I love blue flowers and I love to garden. I just got the prettiest blue flowers this past summer, they are called "Blue Love In A Mist". Have you seen them? They are so pretty and reseed like crazy. Even the pods are pretty! We have a long way to go before getting out in the garden, today we got about 6 inches of snow.
Bless You, Shirl

What a heavenly post! I love to spend time in a garden! Here in NC it's cold and we're expecting a little snow tonight, but the days are starting to get longer, and I'm longing for Spring!
